BracketX

Branding, NFT's
Project Overview
Create the brand identity for Overtime's NFT project, BracketX. BracketX is targeted towards crypto native sport fans who have an interest in betting.
My Contributions
It was my job to create the brand identity along with a series of marketing graphics for social media. As the lead designer for BracketX I came up with the overall style that was based off Overtime's current identity. Throughout my time working with BracketX I created a series of graphics that were used on social media to help market the project. I also helped to design a series of concept NFT designs for an official Overtime collection.
As BracketX is officially one of Overtime's projects, it made sense to base the brand identity off of Overtime's current style. Their style is somewhat playful and reminiscent of "American College" designs. Before coming on as lead designer for BracketX, the Overtime design team had already designed the playbook, the official white-paper for BracketX (pictured below). This had a very rough, hand drawn, scrapbook feel to it and I used this as inspiration for the identity.
Inspiration
Visual Development
I worked closely with the BracketX team to work on a series of marketing graphics. These graphics helped to show what the team was working on and helped build hype around the project. Most of these designs had a quick turn around and required some creative imagination to pull off.

I believe its key for any NFT project to have graphics to go along with any announcement on social media. As the market is so competitive, the projects with eye catching graphics are the ones that people tend to pay most attention to on platforms like Twitter and Discord.

Below are some of the graphics I helped create for BracketX.

Social media designs
As BracketX was based off the seasonality of the NBA, Overtime decided that they wanted to create an NFT collection that was more aligned with their current brand. Despite being a social media company, Overtime is very brand focused and plays a large roll in sports culture. I describe Overtime as "The Hundreds of the sporting world". They do an amazing job of intersecting sports, community and culture.

I think one of the best NFT collections is Adam Bomb Squad by The Hundreds. They did such an amazing job at turning their logo, into a character that people recognise instantly. They successfully turned Adam Bomb into an NFT collection of 25,000 bombs. My inspiration for Overtime was centred around their "O" and how iconic it has become. For any Overtime lover, throwing up the "O" is very reminiscent with its brand and community.

Below is my solution to Overtime wanting to create an NFT collection that was more reminiscent with their brand. It takes a lot of inspiration from their merchandise drops and their brand as a whole. I also created a banner that shows my take on the world of Overtime, a sports media company grown out of Brooklyn, New York.
